Tending Eden hosts Pro-Shred Security, E-Waste Recyclers, I Love a Green San Diego, and Kids Korps for an electronic waste and shred-a-thon event on Saturday, April 20th from 10 am to 2pm. 

Tending Eden is excited to sponsor the first Creation Care weekend at North Coast Calvary Chapel! On the weekend of April 13th and 14th, ocal vendors representing various environmental and conservation organizations will be set up on the Piazza before and after services, ready to share with our church community about the many ways that we can make Creation Care a part of our daily lives. 

A number of creation care / environmental stewardship organizations will be on campus to talk about their work and share information. Organizations include Plant with a Purpose, I Love A Green San Diego, Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation Discovery Center, Surfrider Foundation, and Slow Down Cook More, to name a few.

We are also thrilled to unveil a special creative project that we hope will inspire you to see our world - and your place in it - in a new light. The incredibly talented Jeffrey Griffith has worked with Tending Eden to create a beautiful video that will be shown at all four weekend services.

Please join us the weekend of April 13th/14th to explore the ways that you can get involved in greener living and in taking responsibility for the awesome Earth our loving God has created! 

TENDING EDEN – Eating Healthy & Wisely at NCCC

Room of NCCC for first program of 2013. And it will be a good one! Sam
Wells, A local professional photographer and vibrant food and garden
enthusiast will be presenting a seminar covering a wide variety of topics
that all relate to eating healthy and reducing our impact on the food system

Tending Eden is a ministry of North Coast Calvary Chapel dedicated to serving God and His Creation.

As followers of Jesus Christ, committed to the full authority of the Scriptures, and aware of the ways we have degraded creation, we believe that Biblical faith calls us to engage more actively in the Biblical mandate to steward God’s creation.

In response, we have taken the initiative to educate and spread awareness on environmental issues, be a resource to our community, and take part in tangible creation care activities and advocacy in order to be obedient to our Biblical mandate to "Tend Eden".

Tending Eden meets monthly in addition to promoting and participating in environmental and education opportunities throughout San Diego County.
